Terms and Conditions

General

  1. Check in time: 14h00/2pm
  2. Check out time: 11h00/11am
  3. Late check out rates apply if not vacated by 11am, unless by prior arrangement.
  4. Strictly no dogs and other pets are allowed.
  5. Braais are supplied, however guests are required to bring their own grids. Grids may also be purchased from the main gate.
  6. Quad bikes may only be driven at a speed of 10kph in and out of the resort to access the gravel road and bikers may ride on the opposite side of the dam where they can ride on a wonderful path along dongas and the spruit.
  7. All boat owners/drivers must have a valid skippers licence before launching is permitted. Boats may not be launched if a skippers licence is not presented.
  8. Hubbly Bubblies are not allowed to be smoked at any of the public areas in the resort.
  9. Emanzini Housekeeping staff may not be approached to clean chalets or wash dishes for guests.
  10. No loud music after 10pm to respect other guests.
  11. Strict speed limit of 10kph in the resort.
  12. Right of admission reserved.

Self Catering

  1. No smoking allowed in chalets due to fire hazard.
  2. Refundable Key Deposits: R100 on arrival (cash only).
  3. Linen is provided as well as spare blankets in winter.
  4. No towels are provided, guests need to bring these.
  5. Units have satellite dishes, and guests should bring their own DSTV decoder and card.

Camping & Caravans

  1. Not more than 2 vehicles per camp site unless by prior arrangement.
  2. Only open weave groundsheets allowed on grassed sites.
  3. No Wash Lines to be strung from tree to tree, a clothes horse may be used on site.

  1. Payment of the deposit is acceptance of these terms.
  2. The booking request only represents an application for accommodation, and does not constitute an official reservation. The booking is only confirmed once Emanzini Resort confirms.
  3. A deposit of 50% of the total accommodation bill is payable, and must be paid on or before the due date to confirm the booking.
  4. Deposits received will be forfeited in the event of cancellations. In addition, no money will be reimbursed if guests leave the resort earlier than planned (see cancellation policy).
  5. The payment of deposits must occur on or before the due date stipulated on the resort’s booking request form in order to secure.
  6. Failure to pay the deposit on or before the due date will lead to the cancellation of the booking without prior notice.
  7. All outstanding costs must be paid in full before arrival.
  8. All changes to bookings must be made in writing.
  9. No credit card or debit card facilities at the Resort, bank transfers (EFT’s) only.

Cancellation Policy

  1. All cancellations must be addressed to the resort in writing, to emanzinicountryresort@mweb.co.za
  2. For cancellations made more than 30 days prior to arrival, 25% of the deposit will be forfeited.
  3. For cancellations made between 0 and 30 days prior to arrival, 100% of the deposit will be forfeited.
  4. In the event of cancellations due to death or another acceptable reason beyond anyone’s control, only a R100 admin fee will be levied when sufficient proof is furnished.

Disclaimer

  1. Emanzini Resort, its employees and owners accept no liability in respect of any loss, damage, harm or injury incurred to the person or property of the guest, his or her family, occupants or visitors arising from any cause whatsoever including, without limitation, fire, theft, accident, intrusion or otherwise; whether arising through negligent or wrongful act of the guest or any other person otherwise.
  2. Guests waive all claim or claims of whatsoever cause or nature, whether being of a negligent nature or not, or loss, howsoever arising against the owners of Emanzini Resort, their associates, servants, employees and/ or any person connected whether directly or indirectly with the running of the property and fellow guests/ invitees which might have arising out of harm, injury, death or loss suffered whilst on the premises of Emanzini Resort and whether arising from an act of commission or omission on the part of those hereby indemnified or anyone of
    them.
  3. The owners of the property are not responsible for loss or damage to the property of any visitor brought upon the
    premises, arising from fire, theft or otherwise by whomsoever caused or arising from the negligence or wrongful act of any person in the employ of the proprietors.
